Even the most positive people in the world experience sadness, loneliness and hurt which is OKAY. Its how we handle the difficult times when they come, we can choose to remain in the negative vibration and dwell on what happened to us or we can decide to keep fighting through and have faith that everything will be okay in the end.

As humans, we have the power to change our thoughts. This can be accomplished by replacing negative thoughts with positive ones, by remembering special memories, and by engaging in activities that bring joy to our lives.

Meditation

Mediating is the best way to raise your energy and to reach a calm state of mind. Guided meditation is great to use especially when you are new to meditation. All that is required is to find a peaceful place to sit or lay down and peacefully drift away while the renewing of your subconscious mind takes place.

When the feeling of loneliness creeps in, I find that listening to your favorite music can dramatically shift your vibration. I love listening to Sam Smith, Burna Boy, jazz, classical and some good gospel music to sing and dance along. Just losing yourself to your favourite music and being free can have a massive impact on your whole mood.

Food Glorious Food

Food is your best friend especially when you are feeling under the weather. I adore food as it brings so much happiness and comfort. So cook yourself your best meal or if you are like me just order In! You deserve it.

Talk To Your Bestie

True friends will always be there for you, through the bright and dark days. Reaching out to a close friend and grabbing a coffee at Caffe Nero can be very relaxing. Sometimes we just need to load out so we can feel some sort of release which is good for us.

My all-time favorite books are The Bible, The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and Becoming A Leader by Dr. Myles Munroe. These specific books and many others have changed the way I look at life and I couldn’t be more grateful for it! So Thank you.

Motivational Video

When I was in year 11, my headteacher showed us a YouTube video at our assembly. The video was so inspirational it left with me goosebumps. I knew from that moment something in me had changed for the good.

This is what I needed to hear especially at the time when I was finding myself in the world. I remember heading home with so much excitement and googling all the speakers to fill my head with their positive words and till this day they have inspired me and I am consistently trying to work on my dreams, my mind and keep fighting through even when life seems impossible.

I am grateful that I voluntarily attended the assembly cause if I hadn’t I would have never known about motivational videos and the direct impact they can have on your life. By fair means, I would have been lost.

Don’t be afraid to love yourself

Self-love is not something we should be afraid of. Developing a love for yourself naturally ripples outward and just a tiny bit of self-love can make others feel loved and want to be in your presences.

We can sometimes be afraid of loving ourselves because it doesn’t feel natural or were not used to the feeling so, we do it for a bit and then go back to our old ways!

Growing up, I never saw classes on self-love, and if I showed an inch of self-love, I would hear comments such as ‘oh, she’s full of herself, which then makes you not want to express that level of self-love to yourself! And you mold yourself into someone who your not because you don’t want to express anything that will make you not fit into the social norm.

But I’m here to tell you that self-love is cruel and shouldn’t be ignored.

Loving yourself shows self-confidence, self- worth and leaves you feeling good about yourself!

When you love yourself, you become a magnet to all the good the world has to offer you! You draw in like-minded people who respect you, value you, and love you for who you are. Your positive energy sends out a safe space for those who need of comfort.

So I encourage your right now, to look at yourself in the mirror and repeat the below affirmations and start giving yourself more love that you truly deserve.
